Concrete Pump Operator


Job Description

LGV/HGV Class 2 Concrete Pump Operator/DriverLGV/HGV
Class 2 driver/operator required to drive and operate Truck Mounted Mobile Concrete Pumps, for an established, Winsford-based, concrete pump hire business.
CPCS trained operators preferred but training may be given for other suitable candidates. You will be required to work on construction sites within the North West and surrounding areas.


Your duties will include:

  • Driving on the highway to the job destination
  • Operating the concrete pump on construction sites until the job is complete
  • Cleaning the equipment and driving back to the depot
  • Oversee your own machine
  • Following health & safety legislation
  • Carrying out daily checks and light maintenance
  • Assist with tasks around the depot
  • Setting-up pipelines
  • Carrying pipes up several levels of a building
  • Emptying them when they are full of concrete
  • Cleaning the pipes and bringing them down the building at the end of the day

Job Requirements

This is a niche job that requires a certain type of applicant. A reasonable level of fitness is required as the job can be quite demanding. The hours can be long and out in all weathers and the work can be heavy and challenging. It is also rewarding, operating a large piece of plant.
As a growing company, we need an operative with a positive attitude to work, who can undertake the daily tasks of working with concrete pumps. If you don’t mind getting dirty and are not afraid of hard work and can adapt to the different and generally unknown hours entailed to complete certain jobs, then this is for you.
You must be willing to put in the time to improve your knowledge of the job and help us progress as a company within the construction industry.

You will need a Class 2 License to obtain your Concrete Pump ticket/card.
