Stori Brymbo is a site of industrial heritage significance, being once the home of thriving coal, iron, and steel industry operations.
The Stori Brymbo visitor attraction is due to open to the public in Spring 2026 and will tell the story of a 300-million-year journey from a carboniferous forest, through innovative industrialisation that exploited the remnants of that forest, through the demise of industry and to the present-day reinvention of the site.
Stori Brymbo features a world first live excavation of the 300-million-year-old fossilised trees, preserved in extraordinary detail.
